We teach our own bee school, an introduction to beekeeping. The Bee School consists of 6 classes and a course text. In 2022 the classes were held on Zoom, including the following topics: 

1. Beehives, Equipment and Bees

2. Honey Bee Biology and Nutrition

3. Package and Nuc transport and install

4. Honey Bee Pests and Diseases

5. Apiary and Seasonal Management

6. Products of the Hive - Harvesting Honey

Pre-registration required!​​

A 6-week Training Program for new beekeepers and anyone looking to brush-up on their skills. We focus specifically on techniques that will help you be a successful beekeeper in our climate in New Hampshire. We emphasize sustainable beekeeping practices whenever appropriate.

When: Wednesday’s beginning late January or early February

6:30-8:30pm

You must be pre-registered to enroll.

Where: Tuftonboro Free Library, 221 Middle Road, Center Tuftonboro, NH

Cost: $65 per person/$75 for family of 2.

fee includes Storey's Guide to Beekeeping book, 1-year club membership, & beginner beekeeping information packet.
