ABOUT WINNI BEE

The Winnipesaukee Beekeepers Association was formed in 2015 after we offered our first bee school. We kept offering 2-hour lectures on keeping bees in New Hampshire, and people kept showing up. We now offer bee school on an annual basis and have trained over 90 individuals on how to care for the honey bee. We meet once a month at the Tuftonboro Free Library, where an invited speaker discusses a seasonal topic. Topics range from honey harvest basics, the latest on mite treatment, how to manage and recognize disease, or how to process your wax. Monthly topics vary based on club input and speaker availability. Some of our speakers are club members, others we invite from further away.
